Follow Up: Growth, Persecution, and Judgment

2 Thessalonians 1:1-1:10

God, in all His amazing wisdom, is able to use the suffering and persecution Christians receive, to grow us spiritually. He promises that those who persecute us will come under eternal judgment, if they refuse to obey the Good News of our Lord Jesus.

Mysterious Events at the End

2 Thessalonians 2:1-2:12

In this passage, the Day of the Lord is discussed as well as mysterious events that happen as the End Times unfold. Things yet to happen are the beast appears, the temple is rebuilt, the restrainer is taken away as the deluding influence arrives, lawlessness and anarchy will increase, and people's love will grow cold.

Final Instructions

2 Thessalonians 2:15-3:18

Paul gives final instructions to the Thessalonians to not live an unruly life but to work hard so as to be able to share with others and thus help spread the Word of God.
